This artwork was created by Lalela learner Roxzelle who was part of our programs in Hout Bay. We first ran this scarf in 2020 and it was such a hit, we knew we would have to find a way to bring it back. Today, Roxzelle has finished school and works at Tyme Bank. Roxcelle told us that "Lalela changed [her] as a person" and that seeing her art printed on a scarf "made [her] think about what else she could achieve".
By linking the arts to academics and life-skills, Lalela provides students with the tools necessary to re-imagine the future and achieve their dreams.
