Lalela scarves feature inspiring designs from young artists in Lalela after school programs. Proceeds from each scarf sale go towards helping young innovators find their voice and overcome the narrative of poverty through the transformative power of arts education.
This artwork was created by Lenon, a Lalela learner in his final year of school at Silikamva High in Hout Bay. Lenon is a soft natured, reliable and incredibly had working student who has thoroughly enjoyed his time in our creative community. Not only was he part of our Lalela Leadership Programme, but he also played the lead role of Romeo in our Lalela Shakespeare production of Romeo and Juliet.
